What is Google Opinion Rewards?
Most of us recognize Google as a search engine, but not many people know that Google is more of an advertisement company as everything that it does is aimed at targeting the right people with the right ads.
Google has recently released an app that gives you real money to spend in the Google Play Store if you let them know your esteemed opinion on a trivial subject. Exciting isn’t it? You can spend this money on buying apps, games, movies, books, and virtually anything else from the Google Play Store. This awesome app is called Google Opinion Rewards.
Crux of The problem
In exchange for the Play Store credits, all Google Opinion Rewards ask for is that you answer a few trifling questions every now and then.
But, the sad part is that for most of the people, “every now and then,” has become “almost never,” as Google Opinion Rewards hardly offers a survey. Since surveys are the only way you can earn credit, Opinion Rewards has basically turned useless. So, the million dollar question is “how to get more surveys on Google Opinion Rewards”?
How to get more surveys on Google Opinion Rewards
Fortunately, there are a few tricks you can employ that will help you get more surveys—and more Google Play credits.
Step 1: Install Google Opinion Rewards and create a profile
Head to the Google Play Store and install Google Opinion Rewards.
When you launch Google Opinion Rewards, it will ask you to provide some information about yourself. This is to see which demographic you fall into so that you are offered only relevant surveys. Interestingly, you will be surprised to know that the opinions of some demographics are valued higher than others.
Make sure you open the app and run through the initial setup. If you don’t do this, the app won’t offer any surveys.
Step 2: Enable Permissions in Settings
Most of the time, Google Opinion Rewards doesn’t have the proper permissions enabled. Without these, it won’t get to know when you have visited a store or the location that is seeking customer feedback, which is how you earn credits with Opinion Rewards.
- Go to your phone’s main Settings menu
- Select the “Applications” entry.
- Choose Google Opinion Rewards from the list
- Tap on “Permissions”.
- Enable any “permissions” that you see here.
Step 3: Disable Battery Optimization
Some android phones prevent apps from running in the background. To make sure this is not happening:
- Go to the Batterymenu in Settings
- Tap the three-dot menu button at the top of the screen
- Choose “Battery optimization.”
- Use the drop-down menu to select “all apps”.
- Find Google Opinion Rewards and set it to “Don’t optimize”.
Step 4: Make Sure Location Services Are Enabled
Open your phone’s main Settings menu again, and select the “Location” entry. Make sure location services are turned on by setting the switch at the top of the screen to “On.”
Step 5: Enable Location History
You should make sure that Google’s own location services are enabled on your phone:
- Open the Google app, head to the side navigation menu, and select “Settings”.
- Choose the “Accounts & Privacy” option.
- Select “Google activity controls”.
- Make sure the “Google Location History” option is turned on.
Step 6: Go Places!
With these settings configured properly, you will definitely start to see more “New Survey Available” notifications pretty soon. However, the primary way to make money is by visiting businesses that are willing to pay customers for their feedback, so you will need to get out of the house to make the most of Opinion Rewards.
Honesty is the best policy
When you get a survey, be honest. Sometimes, Google will send you a survey with loaded questions to see how honest you are, and if you are caught cheating, you might not see another survey again.
